I've been creating more designs for wallpaper recently, and enjoying seeing how people are using them in their homes and other projects. Covering walls certainly isn't the only use for wallpaper. Here are a few more fun ideas to try, including decoupaging furniture, framing, and stationery refresh.

My new eBook is here! It’s a bright and colourful resource about the collage techniques I personally use. It covers ideas for making textured papers with a variety of media and adding patterns with our own stamps or stencils. There are tips on choosing a subject, cutting shapes and sticking down the composition. There is also a step-by-step project showing how to make a repeat pattern with a collage on paper.

My range of tea towels has been extended to include new designs —recipes, food illustrations, calendars, birds and still life. They make great gifts for the festive season.

A collection inspired by shy birds hiding in the vegetation, pollinators zooming around, dainty flowers with the most delicate details, and juicy fruits hidden in the hedgerow. Looking closely at nature is fascinating. As they say, it’s the little things that bring the most joy.

It’s All Greek to Me! by THEY DRAW contains 100 illustrations from various artists that celebrate the culture and cuisine of Greece with maps, scenes, landscapes, and recipes. The image here shows my Santorini Sunset at the top of the page, with a sneak peek at the yummy recipe by Nate Padavick on the same page, and also shows part of the gorgeous cover by Sandra Neuditschko Illustration.

In the Texturing Motifs for Illustration and Surface Pattern Design class, I share my process of combining real textures with digital techniques. Creating textures begins with layering traditional media on paper. It’s a lot of fun and easy to do. Textures and shapes can then be brought together digitally to create eye-catching motifs.
